About
Stacey Law, LCSW-R
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters in Social Work from Adelphi University in 2009. My field experience includes working with at-risk young adults, Social Worker in Mental Health Clinics in addition to an Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital setting. Prior to starting a private practice, I was a therapist in Mental Health Clinics, providing individual therapy for all ages, including couples and family therapy.
My clients have told me that I provide a supportive, caring and safe environment. I focus on my client's strengths using a solution-focused modality. The work we will do together takes in to account your whole person and parts of self by exploring your life experiences in order to build increased awareness. This helps to promote growth and a deeper sense of healing. I believe in a balance of acceptance and change. I use a person-centered approach to help my clients identify undiscovered potential with the goal of creating positive long lasting change while we work through a multitude of concerns.
Clients come to me to work through anxiety, depression, trauma, educational issues, low self-esteem, times of transition and relationship issues. I frequently hold space for those struggling with anxiety and the various ways in which it manifests.
I have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic theory, Mindfulness and Brainspotting. I offer individual and family psychotherapy.
